OLIVA — Pair
OLIVA — Pair
Description, materials and dimensions
Pair of OLIVA earrings
The mother-of-pearl bead is born from an act of defense, now a symbol of protection, beauty, and resilience. When a foreign body enters the shell, it gradually envelops it with thin layers of aragonite and conchiolin, until a soft, luminous, living material emerges: mother-of-pearl. In the light, its reflections are iridescent, and its irregularities make each model completely unique.
- Materials:
Natural freshwater mother-of-pearl pearl Hyriopsis cumingii (Lea, 1852)
Hypoallergenic stainless steel
- Dimensions: the hoop measures 12mm in diameter
Each piece of jewelry reveals a fragment of the ocean, shaped by tides, sand, and time. Its natural irregularities make it a singular piece, impossible to reproduce identically. Faithful to the model shown, its organic part will nevertheless reveal its own nuances, relief, and natural details. These delicate variations give each creation a unique character.
